The ability to have more than one sign-up form.

I have multiple lists depending on variety of factors.

Aweber will let me create a sign-up form for each list.

For example, I use a prayer list for our intercessory covering.

In constant contact, where the list is now, I have to manually add people to that list, instead of letting them signup from the website.

When I migrate to Aweber, that problem will be fixed.

If I only had one list, Constant Contact would be fine.  But since I maintain several lists and need to add people as needed, then Aweber wins for letting me create and track multiple forms.

Bulk or single:

If I’m registering bulk domain names (like domainname . org, .com, .info) for 2 years or more, I’ll use a different service, Godaddy, but only for a 2 year or more registration of a domain.

For a single use domain name for one year, I’ll use I use dreamhost for registering my domain names.

Dreamhost provides

• Domain name at 9.99 a year.
• FREE privacy on the domian name.
• Since I host it here, it’s easier to setup.

Godaddy renewals are outrageously expensive, plus the privacy is an add-on fee.

I have begun transferring all my registered names from go-daddy to Dreamhost for the lower renewal costs.

I’ve been using this for nearly 3 years and generally satisfied.  A few hardware failures, but they seem to get those fixed reasonably fast.

Downside:

The downside I encounter is that it is shared hosting.

That creates problems when your website gets too big or you have way too many scripts running at once.

For my small sales sites that are only 5-10 pages, this isn’t an issue.

I’m beginning to reach the limits of my resources with my main site.  When that superseeds the limit, it won’t load and sometimes causes all my sites not to load.

It takes some troubleshooting to optimize, but doing so keeps my hosting costs cheap.

Most all cheap hosting is shared hosting for that reason, but when your sites gets big, you can upgrade to a private server or transfer to someone else.

If I could start all over:

If I was starting out, I would use Aweber.

I didn’t know it existed when I started.

I’ve evaluated three different companies and have found this one to be the best and simplest for those who are just getting started.

I started with Constant contact, but found that Icontact had features I wanted, but then I finally tried aweber this year and wish I had known about it from the get go.

Some Benefits:

Aweber  has more useful features than the other two, and the ability to easily customize signup forms without knowing HTML.

The email composition process is outstanding and easy.

There are some features with thank you pages and opt-outs that I really like and wish the other services had.

For ease of use, I would choose Aweber from day 1.

They are integrated with my shopping cart provider so you can move leads to customers automatically (I wish I had known that).

They have lots of tutorials to teach you

• how to create a signup form.
